The bearings are fully packed with high-precision Grade 10 balls for maximum load capacity. Without a retainer, these bearings have 35% more capacity. The balls must be hand-loaded through a precision-ground slot in the inner and outer race.
The purest steel alloy with unmatched hardness. MAX bearings use CRC marine grease, which will not wash out or break down under any extreme conditions. Even salt water will not penetrate or degrade it.
Two sealing lips on each seal, running in a matching groove in the inner race, form a labyrinth seal. The outer sealing lip repels dirt and water, while the inner lip retains the grease. These seals essentially create a "hydromatic" grease seal when in motion, with the grease forming a barrier in the groove.
