This patent-pending pneumatic shock absorber technology that we invented fulfills any rider's three wishes: the feel and control of a spring, better prevention of impact than a standard air damper, and an adjustable "platform" for a playful feel.

ILLUMINANT GENIE:

GENIE combines the linear elasticity index of a spring that improves control in the "bump zone" with the progressive elasticity index of an air spring at the end of the ride to prevent it from bottoming out. Say goodbye to compromises and hello to the future of driving: With a 16.3% better bump force management than a traditional air damper, GENIE makes the Stumpy 15 ride like a bike with more travel. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 (with 145 mm rear wheel travel) and our Enduro (170 mm travel) use 101 mm travel to absorb a bump force of 1080 N.
